HOW IT'IS MADE

The Material Foundation of MCM Technology——Eco-Friendly Active Soil (Econic Lay)

Using natural soil, quartz powder, stone powder, recycled red brick fragments, mineral powder, volcanic ash, fly ash, and other inorganic materials as raw ingredients, the materials are classified into four natural color categories: red, yellow, gray, and white.

The non-reactive and active components of the same color system are precisely mixed according to a specific ratio, then finely ground into micro-scale particles. Through surface modification technology using fluorine- or nitrogen-based surfactants, each particle is coated layer by layer, forming a multi-layered network structure.

The resulting highly active four-color inorganic powder is known as Eco-Friendly Active Soil (Econic Lay), also referred to as Modified Clay.

Production Process

Formed at 90°C ± 5°C through a low-energy molding process powered by renewable electricity and combined heat energy, significantly reducing energy consumption compared with traditional ceramic tiles fired at over 1,000°C.

Transportation Process

Weighing only 4 kg/m² compared with approximately 70 kg/m² for natural stone, flexible stone significantly reduces transportation weight and energy consumption, requiring only about 6% of the energy needed for traditional stone materials.
